About Land Resource Management
Land Resource Management, PLLC (LRM) is a multidisciplinary land consulting, engineering, and environmental services firm serving Western North Carolina, the Upstate of South Carolina, and East Tennessee. Our team brings together licensed Soil Scientists, Landscape Architects, and Civil & Environmental Engineers to deliver practical, defensible solutions for complex land, water, and regulatory challenges.
What sets LRM apart is not just what we do—but how we do it. We combine deep technical expertise with real‑world constructability, regulatory fluency, and a strong understanding of the unique soils, slopes, watersheds, and development pressures of the Southern Appalachian region.
Integrated Expertise. Real‑World Solutions.
LRM’s staff collectively represents 100+ years of combined professional experience across land evaluation, environmental permitting, civil engineering, stormwater, wastewater, and stream‑related work. By operating as an integrated team—rather than siloed consultants—we are able to move projects efficiently from concept to permit to construction.
Our core areas of expertise include:
This integrated structure allows LRM to solve problems holistically—balancing environmental constraints, regulatory requirements, constructability, and cost.
Built for Complex Sites and High‑Stakes Projects
LRM works on projects where soils are difficult, slopes are steep, water is present, and the permitting path is not obvious. Our experience spans private landowners and developers, municipalities, utilities, and public agencies, including time‑sensitive and emergency response work.
With offices and staff embedded in the region, we bring:
We are not a large, generic consulting firm—and we are not a single‑discipline shop. LRM is intentionally structured to provide smart, economical solutions for projects that demand both technical rigor and local experience.
Our Team
LRM’s team includes licensed professionals with decades of experience working throughout the Carolinas and Tennessee. While each staff member brings specialized expertise, projects benefit from collaborative involvement across disciplines to ensure efficient reviews, coordinated permitting, and successful implementation.
